Through Energy Transition to the Accelerated Economic and Ecological Development of Montenegro

The “Through Energy Transition to the Accelerated Economic and Ecological Development of Montenegro” project commenced in April 2026.

The project’s main objective is to contribute to a just and socially sustainable energy transition in Pljevlja by supporting the development of the Just Transition Plan, strengthening the inclusive participation of the local community, and enhancing the understanding of carbon pricing policies and decisions related to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) in Montenegro.

The project is funded by the European Climate Foundation (ECF).
